International graduate immigration to Newfoundland

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) announced on December 10, 2020, changes to the conditions for international graduate immigration to the province. According to these changes, applicants must have a job offer in job groups 0, A or B, and if the job is in the list of required jobs in this province, NOC C will also be accepted. Applicants who have completed their education in Canada, but outside of this province, their job offer must be directly related to the field of study.

Only international graduates who studied at North Atlantic University or Memorial College can qualify for Newfoundland immigration with a job offer unrelated to their field of study, provided that, among other requirements, they have the necessary expertise, experience, or training in the job field. The International Graduate Group has a Post Graduate Work Visa (PGWP) with a minimum of 4 months remaining validity for new graduates.

Having a full-time job or job offer from a qualified employer in NOC 0, A, B or NOC C occupations for occupations in the list of required occupations that guarantees at least 30 hours of work per week and the contract is for at least one year and renewal It should not be far from the mind.

Having a job offer with one of the following conditions:

International graduates to immigrate to this province must have a job offer that is directly related to their field of study if the applicant completed their education outside of Newfoundland and Labrador (graduates outside of this province must have at least one years in Newfoundland and Labrador); Or

It is not required to be directly related to the field of study, if the applicant has graduated from North Atlantic University or Memorial College and meets the following criteria:

Have a degree after high school.

Career development in this direction is expected.

The job offer should be in a field where applicants have expertise or experience in the last 5 years. or have been trained.

The age of the applicant is 21 to 59 years.

Willing to be a permanent resident of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Have enough financial resources for accommodation.

Have sufficient ability and mastery in English or French to perform their job duties. Language test is required for jobs required in NOC group C.

If the applicant has ownership shares in the business he is employed in, this ownership share should not exceed 10%.
