Move to Prince Edward

Prince Edward Island has reopened a new Expression of Interest system for applicants to immigrate to Canada through the province, the Prince Edward Provincial Program, of which the Express Entry program is one of them.

All immigration programs and the PEI PNP Prince Edward Provincial Immigration Program have three main stages:

First step: Create an account and send a profile to the Expression of Interest system. Presentation of Expression of Interest does not mean presentation of the file, but the expression of interest and general plans, and the applicants express themselves and their interests and abilities in it.

Second stage: Applicants who get the highest scores can submit their case to PEI for initial review.

Third stage: After PEI has reviewed the submitted file, the applicants who have been accepted in the previous stage, submit their complete file for review to obtain permanent residence.

What is Prince Edward Express Entry Program?

Applicants who have an active file in Canada’s federal Express Entry system and their file is in the selection pool, can apply for Prince Edward’s Express Entry program. Applicants must send their Expression of Interest to the PEI system and then their points will be calculated in this system. These points are calculated out of 100 points and applicants are scored based on criteria such as age, language skills, education, work experience and compatibility.

It should be noted that having a job offer is not one of the requirements of this program, but the Prince Edward government has announced that applicants who live and work in this province at the time of submission of the application are given priority.
